ROSE HAZE

An ethereal powerhouse of atmospheric haze and limitless sonic exploration, The Rose Haze is the musical vessel for Ohio-born, Los Angeles-based artist Kate Ramsey.

She transmutes piano, synth, guitar, harp, bass, and flute into moody, ethereal rites that bridge the mystical and the experimental. Her sound has earned wide acclaim, praised as “otherworldly in a spaced out way” (Glide), “saturated with lush synth pads” (Petal Motel), and a brand of “dramatic, majestic rock” (The Stranger).

As a mercurial songwriter driven by feminine prowess and powerful panache, Ramsey refuses static routines. She rarely executes the exact same live set twice, constantly pushing herself to improvise and adapt within the sonic space. Her dynamic, unpredictable performances pair otherworldly vocals with ever-shifting instrument configurations, offering an experience that is idiosyncratic, vulnerable, and unabashedly honest. Through her work as a well-traveled creator, she translates the oddities, woes, and raw euphoria of existence into immersive soundscapes.

Ramsey’s artistic foundation was forged alongside Lisa Bella Donna, with whom she collaborated to record and perform her first two albums. In 2019, following an extended period of spiritual renewal across Europe and Kaua’i, Ramsey relocated to California. It was there that she met the musical love of her life, Ruben Gonzales. The pair became inseparable partners in sonic adventure until Gonzales tragically and suddenly passed away in 2024. His spirit continues to live on through his music and within the hearts of those he touched.

Today, Ramsey navigates an ever-transformational healing journey, continually evolving her craft and striving to reach greater artistic depths.
