Ruben Gonzales was a San Francisco Bay Area native who played a huge role in the sonic structure of Rose Haze since his inception in 2019. He was a multi-instrumentalist, sound designer, engineer, and producer. Throughout his musical career, he weaved in and out of post-punk, shoegaze, and noise scenes. He favored improvisation and heavy-laden effects between energetic chaos and mellow ambient textures. His pedal boards were always coveted. He engineered, mixed, and produced all of Rose Haze’s music since he joined in 2019. He will forever be missed and lives on through his beautiful music. <3
